Arsenal will never sell Robin to United | Striker bid rejected

These Robin stories will never go away. Today it's Manchester United being touted. The Daily Mail runs a silly story about Red Nose telling friends that he will get Robin. Well, I suppose Bacon face is allowed to dream. There is no way that transfer is going to happen. Arsene Wenger will never sanction that. In fact, the Arsenal board will never sell Robin to United.

Wayne Veysey of goal.com reported via his twitter account, @wayneveysey yesterday that Arsenal will keep Robin for the last year of his contract even if he fails to sign fresh terms. I think this is the best possible outcome. You wouldn't really trust the board and Wenger to spend up to 20 million on a player. Last season's Cesc and Nasri situation just goes to show that the club would rather bank the money than re-invest in a like-for-like replacement.

The club has had a bid for 17 year old Caen forward M'Baye Niang turned down. The reported figure is 5 million pounds. That is what happens when Manchester City starts eyeballing a player, the price sky-rockets.

The manager will speak to the press over the weekend. Expect a decision on Robin, whether he's staying or going on o before then.
